Per Gross studied with Dan Laurin at the Academy of Music southern Denmark (DK), obtaining a Musiker/Performer Diplomexamen (Masters degree in music/performance) in 2004 and underwent further studies at The Royal College of Music in Stockholm (SE) with Clas Pehrsson, resulting in a Soloist Diploma 2009.

In May 2010 Per won the major competition the Swedish Soloist Prize. In October the same year this was followed by first (1st) prize, Governor of Osaka Award as well as Chairman of the Jury Award in Osaka International Music Competition (Osaka IMC), Japan. 2011 meant tours and concerts in Scandinavia as well as an invitation to perform for His Majesty Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden and his international guests at Gripsholm castle during Royal Colloquium 2011.

In the 2011/2012 season Per has also performed as soloist with Gävle symphony orchestra (conductor Jaime Martín), the Nordic chamber orchestra (conductor Paul Mägi) and Gothenburg symphony orchestra (conductor Susanna Mälkki).
